Leash of All Leashes

Retractable leashes can be a great tool for walking your Puggle. We have found that Puggles are are very active little breed and need to be able to run-a-bit even on routine walks. We’ve also found that while Jersey will walk on a leash without pulling (after many walking sessions)…he really loves it when we give him the up to 16 foot freedom that our leash provides.

\

“flexi leashes are equipped with a sturdy ribbon-like material (shown here) the entire length of the leash!”

We are actually, on our second (retractable) leash, mainly because our first one was made of sturdy leash material, at the first foot or so… but the rest was a thin and dangerous rip cord-like string. That being the case, Jersey, (thanks to some kids on skateboards) pulled the thin cord out a little too far and the retractable leash didn’t quite “retract” any more after that. Today though, we replaced the cheaper leash with a new (shall I add, more attractive) “flexi ELEGANCE” retractable leash. Even with a price tag of about 45 dollars (US) it’s already earning its keep!

AWW, MAAANN…

When I was a couple of months old I developed a cherry eye that I had to have removed at the time I was neutered. Unfortunately, today…this morning in fact…I woke up and this “third eyelid” reappeared! I was devastated - my parents were too - but don’t worry…I will be OK. It looks worse than it is. It doesn’t hurt me really, only if I play really rough - then it gets bruised and then it starts to bleed.

My Daddy is trying to determine what we will do about it now. You see it’s only been two months ago since it was surgically put back into my eye socket and it’s already back! He elected to not have it cut out completely, as this can lead to serious problems later that Continue Reading »

99¢ Fun

Although they’re are a slew of toys out there on the market (and many we love), still your best deal is to buy your puggle a tennis ball or better yet tennis balls. Jersey gets about three or four of these going and forget it - it’s endless fun for the night!”

The Giant Poodle

Today, Jersey met two nice dogs at the dog park. I’m thinking he liked them because one was a Beagle named (”Boots”) and his favorite was a little black Pug (named “Jessup”). All the ingredients for a nice looking Puggle. Apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree you know!”

“Boots”

“Jessup”

“Ahh, what a nice day - it’s starting to cool off, aye Jessup?

“Hahaha! That’s hilarious! Then what did she say?…”

“Hold up, let me whisper the rest - I don’t want that nosy Pit Bull to hear …”

“Hey Boots?” Come over here man I’m telling Jersey about that Giant Poodle you hit on…”

“What’s up fellas?”

“You guys smell over there and I’ll smell over here - we’ll track her down…I just gotta see any dog that’s 4 and half feet tall…”

B: “Jersey, you know why Boots stopped looking for her, right?”

J: “No, why?”

B: “Honestly, I think she scares him…”

Snuggle Puggle

Jersey really loves to snuggle. This is him waking up this morning. Doesn’t he look comfy?.”-Daddy

“Oh, no…you’re not gonna start waking me up for pictures now are you?”

“I’m going back to sleep…”

“Great…now I can’t sleep - oh, well I guess you’re going to have to take me on my morning walk early then…”

Great Excercise

This is one way Jersey gets exercise on his daily walks. Puggles need to get plenty of exercise and stairs like these are an excellent choice. To tell you the truth, he was scared of stairs at first but then after a few times up and down…up and down, now he runs to any stairs! “ -Daddy

Unfortunately, we do not have stairs so it’s always exciting to find them on our neighborhood walks.

No Hats Please

I love my Mommy and Daddy very much so I go along with just about everything they ask of me. But there is this ONE thing that I honestly cannot stand, and that is: Putting on Hats! I don’t know if it’s because we live here in Florida (it’s so hot at times it’s ridiculous) or what… but there is just something about those things I just-do-not like”

“Sorry Mommy can you repeat that..you want me to put on WHAT!!? Aw maaannn…ok one picture then it’s coming off, ok?

“Ch-eeessseee”

“Now get this thing OFF OF MEEEE…”

Stop & Smell the Roses

One of my favorite things to do is smell flowers. My nose is so sensitive that I can smell flowers up to 10ft away.

“Sabal palms don’t really smell…I have to find a flowering plant.”

“Now that’s more like it…”

“Ahhh…”
